Questions people ask first
Do you only work with businesses in Queensland?
No. I work with small businesses anywhere in Australia, in any state or territory, and the build runs the same either way. Everything the process needs happens remotely: a conversation, a preview address you open from wherever you are, and a written record either of us can point at. I am based in the Redlands outside Brisbane, so if you are nearby I am happy to meet in person, and it has never been a condition of working together. A client in Perth or Hobart gets the identical scope, the identical fixed price and the identical handover as one twenty minutes down the road.
Why do I have to pay for the Scope Sprint before you will give me a price?
Because a price given before the scope is known is a guess, and a guess gets corrected later at your expense. The Sprint costs $395 plus GST and you keep the written recommendation either way. If someone quotes your whole website off a 15-minute phone call, ask them what happens to that number when they find out about the booking system.
What happens if we fall out halfway through?
You keep the domain, the hosting, the repository and every account, because they were always yours. Work performed to that point is reconciled against what was actually delivered. Your accounts are never held as leverage over an invoice, and that is written into the agreement rather than promised in a meeting.
Can I edit the site myself afterwards?
Two good options. I can make changes for you whenever you need them, at a published hourly rate with a one hour minimum, which suits most owners who update a few things a year. Or a content management system inside a designed build, which is real work to set up and worth it when you genuinely publish. I will help you work out which one fits, because an unused CMS is a monthly bill and a security surface.
Will this get me to the top of Google?
No one can sell you that, and the ones who do are selling the promise, not the result. What is real: a fast, crawlable, correctly structured site with true, extractable facts removes the technical reasons you would be excluded. Everything after that depends on your market, your competitors and platform decisions nobody outside those companies controls.
Do you build with AI?
AI assists the drafting and the code inside a controlled workflow: a feature branch, automated checks, a preview deploy, my review and your approval before anything is released. Nothing publishes itself. Every fact on your site comes from you and is approved by you in writing, because a confident-sounding sentence that turns out to be wrong is your problem, not the tool's.
What does it actually cost to run once it is live?
Your domain licence, and whatever your email plan costs. Hosting is usually nothing at this size because a static site sits inside the free tier, and if you outgrow it you will have the traffic to justify it. There is no monthly fee to me unless you choose a care plan. The full register of what you pay and to whom is written down before you commit, not discovered on a statement.
